I'm 17 and a junior in a college prep/charter/independent study school and I do pretty good in all of my classes besides math. I used to be 'home schooled' but my mom quit teaching me in about 3rd or 4th grade do to her drug addiction,so when i got flung in high school there was (and still is) a MAJOR gap missing in math. And I only have this and next year left to pass algebra.... What will happen if I don't graduate high school because I couldn't pass basic algebra1? I have such high standards for myself that I cant accomplish because my math skills are extremely below average. I wanted to become a medical examiner, nurse, police officer or work in animal control. What are the chances of me getting one of those jobs if I don't even graduate with a diploma? Can a GED help me to achieve one of those jobs? I'm just feeling like a total failure and wanting to give up school altogether...
